Vegetarian Recipes
Everything from sides to main events, these recipes celebrate the fun of eating vegetables without eliminating eggs, cheese, butter, or other dairy. I particularly love sumac spiced mushrooms tucked into warm pita and covered in crumbled feta cheese. Or, for cozy, cold dinners, I love to tuck into a steaming bowl of tomato-braised green beans and potatoes. When I want to wow a crowd, I'll make my popular (and gorgeous!) cauliflower steaks with chipotle-cashew salsa!
A note on cheese: some cheese are made with animal rennet, and are therefore not strictly vegetarian. I don't personally avoid these types of cheese, and my recipes reflect that. However, there are plenty of vegetarian options that use plant-derived rennet--just ask at the cheese counter or in the dairy department!
