Meat and Poultry Recipes
While most of the recipes on Small Pantry are plant-forward, I believe it's critical to have a variety of go-to meat recipes. Meat, especially high quality and humanely raised meat, is only getting more expensive. If you're going to splurge, you'll want to do it justice. As much as I love the luxury of a whole roasted chicken, or decadent recipes like my port wine-braised chicken thighs, I mostly use meat for depth and richness in recipes like pasta in a sausage ragù, or a brothy beef soup with watercress and cilantro. A little bit of good quality meat can transform a dish without having to spend tons of money. sometimes the most magical as a flavoring agent, rather than the main attraction. Using it that way saves money, too!
